Collective Consciousness No. 1

Everything connected, nothing attached

There is a greater collective that everything is part of. All things in this world have a connection. Life is experiences for the sake of the greater whole. All that we do is the consciousness working through itself. All things begin with a thought. From thoughts come all things. Even at the atomic level, nothing is touching. Yet, there is a force that brings all things together. This piece is number as I expect to work with this subject again. The top of the piece represents what is beyond this physical world. The bottom is representing the physical world and the concentration of the consciousness in form. Different but still connected in many ways. Separate enough to be own their own in the physical world, but never fully detached.

This was the largest piece to date, 4’x4′. My most involved process for the substrate so far. All things learned from previous works are coming together. I’m able to create the substrate more easily. I have more control over the end product to achieve my vision.

This piece is on display at Boho Hair Collective and Crystal Loft in North East Minneapolis. The salon & store is on Central Ave, two blocks north of Broadway Street.
